Windy in Menorca

I’d been snorkelling in the bay of Son Xoriguer in Menorca, and, when I came out and looked back, I saw that a sudden wind had whipped the sea into a creamy foam. This, combined with the volcanic rock formations which I had just been swimming around, seemed to make for an ideal composition, so I reached for my camera – the sea not being considerate enough to hold still while I painted it.

Just as an additional point, I like to include an element of drama in my work when possible, and this seemed ideal.
